Control your devices with Siri in eWeLink app
The iOS version of eWeLink V4.3 has been available in the app store. The highlight of this version is the long-expected Siri shortcut feature. With a few simple steps, you will be able to control all the eWeLink supported smart devices with your iPhone or iPad.
How to set up
1
A manual scene is required to be added to Siri shortcut. Follow the steps to create a manual scene.
a) Tap 'add' in scene tap.
b) Select 'Tap to perform' as the condition.
c) Set up the action of the scene such as turning on a lamp. Select 'Lamp' and 'ON'.
d) Save the scene and name it 'Turn on lamp'.
2
Now that you have created a manual scene, you need to add it to Siri shortcut. Follow the steps below.
a) Tap 'Add to Siri' on the top of the scene page.
b) The next Siri shortcut page will show you the list of all manual scenes. Select the scene you just set.
c) Change the voice command as you wish and tap 'Add to Siri'.
3
You are all set now. Say the preset voice command to your iPhone or iPad, and your manual scene will execute accordingly. In this example, you can say 'Hey Siri, turn on the lamp'.

Need to unlock iPhone first in App ver 4.9.1
Please fix it
@Omg64672
Please note that this has been fixed.
Feel free to update the latest version to try it out.
Tap 'add' in scene tap CANNOT find shared device by others.
@Rick Liu
Please note that shared devices cannot be used for creating scenes at the moment.
Only the device owner has the capability to do that.
Can you provide specific development schedules and milestones?
I currently need this feature desperately, and I am willing to subscribe and pay.
Or tell me that when I don’t need to unlock through the screen, Siri can use a third-party app to control shared device on or off.
@Rick Liu
First thing first, you don't need to unlock the screen to run Siri shortcut to control eWeLink devices now. No need to change.
Sorry, but we don't plan to allow shared users to use Siri control at the moment.
Therefore, there is no schedule for it, either.
When a device can be shared and used, we can use the Siri shortcut to turn the sharing device on or off, which is a very important feature.
Since you can’t provide a specific schedule. can you provide us that when I don’t need to unlock through the screen, Siri can use a third-party app to control shared device on or off?
@Rick Liu
For the device owner, no need to unlock the screen to control devices via Siri shortcut.
Sorry but I don't understand what you mean by using a third-party app to control shared devices via Siri?
The Siri control here relies on the eWeLink app to be set up and running which means eWeLink app is REQUIRED for Siri control.
Can you provide us that when I don’t need to unlock through the screen, Siri can use a third-party app to control shared device on or off?
Since you say "Sorry, but we don't plan to allow shared users to use Siri control at the moment."
I am using Google Home to add eWeLink device which is shared to me by others.
And then, using Google Assistant to bridge Siri but need to unlock through the screen.
It's very inconvenient.
@Rick Liu
If you can bypass the limit of the eWeLink app by using Google Home with Siri, then it is good for you. In this case, the requirement to unlock the screen has nothing to do with eWeLink, since the request was done through Google Home. Please consult Google Home if they will stop requiring unlocking the screen.
If you create a Siri shortcut on your own devices via the eWeLink app directly, then there is no need to unlock the screen.
I know that create a Siri shortcut on my own devices via the eWeLink app directly, then there is no need to unlock the screen. But the eWeLink device is not my own. So, your answer CANNOT solve my problem. I am willing to pay the money please face up to this problem.
@Rick Liu
Now I understand your request. It will be forwarded to our product managers for consideration.
Thanks for letting us know.
When can we expect Siri control with shared devices? This is a deal breaker for me. I need to automate all my house, but if my wife and my children can not use Siri to activate all the devices, it makes imposible for me to do it.
After adding a shortcut to Siri, how I can delete it.
I have the same problem. Thank @Rick Liu to show this limitation.
Really is important to families
The last query is 2 years old. When does ewelink plan on allowing shortcuts for shared devices to allow Siri integration? This seems like a critical functionality flaw. The current limitation only allows one family member to use Siri integration.
