eWeLink 3.13.0 came out this week as a regular update with new features and performance improvement. This version marks the adoption of some requested features suggested by users.
In-App Authorization: Link to Alexa
Before this update, Alexa users need to open the Alexa app, go to skills and search eWeLink, then enable the skill, enter eWeLink account information to log in, and link eWeLink with Alexa.
Now you can link Alexa account directly via the eWeLink app. You can follow the tutorial on the app to link to Alexa. (User Profile --> Alexa --> Link Amazon Account or tap “Tutorial” to read instructions).
Zigbee Hub
In Zigbee Hub, technically there is no limitation on the number of the child device.
【Scene】Child device of Zigbee hub can be used as a trigger in the scene.
For example open/close of window/door, motion detected, single click/double click/long press of WiFi switch, temperature/humidity equal to/higher than/lower than a certain value.
On the other hand, the child device of Zigbee hub could be triggered by a certain condition such as Sunrise/sunset time, timer, etc.
New app function added for some devices:
- LAN switch available for some bulbs.
When the switch is on, there will be two situations:
1. if the device and the app are in the same LAN, then the LAN mode will be activated.
2. if it is not, the cloud platform will be activated.
